"Dickens"
One of a Kind
"Dickens" is 12" tall. I created him from a soft curly mohair that I over-dyed a wonderful gingerbread color.
For his sweet face, I stitched a black perle cotton nose. Then I added hand-blown glass eyes with a white accent.
I carefully trimmed, sculpted and shaded his facial expression.
What a soulful look!
He is fully jointed and ready to pose. I have him posed in front of my own Christmas tree on top of some presents that my daughter keep shaking!
I wonder what they could be?
I have filled him with a combination of polyfil and pellets for a nice weight and feel.
His paw pads are done with trapunto, sculpting and shading.
"Dickens" wears as full bow of ribbons and rick rack.
I made his necklace by forming polymer clay into tiny canes and then slicing them into individual Christmas candies. Then I filled a ceramic bowl with the candies and made it into a necklace! There are starlight mints and peppermint swirls in both greens and reds.
For authenticity, "Dickens" comes wearing a laminated hang tag listing his details.
He is signed on his paw pad.
It is my wish that "Dickens" brings a smile to your face everytime you see him displayed in your home!
He is created by myself, with my own patterns, in my smoke-free home in the country.
